Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush endorsed Mitt Romney for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination at his office today in Houston, Texas.
The two men met previously last December in Houston when the 41st President offered support to the former Massachusetts Governor.
Romney said, “Thank you. Coming from the president and first lady, I’m honored to have your endorsement and support.”
“Having your support means a great deal to me on a personal basis, a family basis, and also on a national basis.” He went on to stress the importance of the election, saying, “It’s an election about the course of America. I think we’re on a very dangerous path and I think it’s important for us to select a nominee.”
