Rick Santorum Abruptly Ends Campaign Event To Help Person – March 9 2012

It is not clear in the video what happened  but during during a speech in Mobile, Alabama something appeared to happen to an attendee, Santorum ended the speech and ran over to help the person.

Here is what happened, via The American Spectator:

A middle-aged black woman had fainted dead-out, flat onto the concrete floor (it was a bit muggy; raining outside). A lot of candidates would have looked out, stopped talking, asked people to go see if she were okay, and then perhaps continued speaking once it was clear that responsible people were seeing to her well-being.

Not Santorum. He stopped his remarks dead in his tracks, just before reaching a planned crescendo:

“Oh — well everybody, thank you and God Bless,” he quickly mumbled, already leaving the podium. And then he leapt down the stairs and rushed to the lady’s aid, just about the fifth person to reach her side.

A woman fainted & he cut his speech short to go help her & make sure she was all right! Classy guy!

      If indeed that’s what happened.

Surely we’ve seen those TV preachers who “slay” those who claim to be ill, “in the name of the Lord.” It’s obviously bogus.

Could the same thing have happened here?

Kansan , really you hade to bing up the T.V. preacher. I don’t think this has to much to due with religion at all . So why due you and others try to spin a man core beliefs into some kind of religious joke . When I watch the video it looks like a Man who reflects a leader . I think we should all question are self’s what we may have done with twenty cameras rolling and the chance to be heard in thousands of homes. He decided to do the right thing a helped !

          How exactly did he help?

He seized the opportunity to pretend “he cares,” and you bought it. He was no more helpful than any “looky Lou,” and there were probably already way too many people there gawking at her before he got there.

“Move along folks. Nothing to see here.”
