President Barack Obama was in town Thursday evening for several glitzy campaign fundraisers and he turned crooner and comedian as he took his bid for re-election to New York.

He took to the stage at a fundraiser at Harlem’s Apollo Theater and crooned lyrics from Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” singing, “I’m … so in love with you,” drawing cheers from the crowd, which included Green himself.

Pointing to the side of the stage he laughed and said, “Those guys didn’t think I would do it.
