Buddy Roemer: Dropout Speech (Goes Independent)

Governor Charles E. “Buddy” Roemer delivered a speech from Yowie headquarters in Santa Monica, California. Governor Roemer issued the following statement in regard to his campaign:

“Tomorrow, I will formally end my bid for the GOP nomination for President of the United States.  As the GOP and the networks host debate number twenty-something this evening, they have once again turned their backs on the democratic process by choosing to exclude a former Governor and Congressman.  I have decided to take my campaign directly to the American people by declaring my candidacy for Americans Elect. Also, after many discussions with The Reform Party, I am excited to announce my intentions of seeking their nomination. It is time to heal our nation and build a coalition of Americans who are fed up with the status quo and the partisan gridlock that infects Washington. Together, we will take on the special-interests that control our leaders and end the corruptive influence of money in politics so we can focus on America’s top priority – jobs.”

The non-story here is that the Reform party has so little legal foothold across the nation that they tat amount to nothing. Seeing the Reform party listed among even the so-called “third” parties is a farce as they always rank near to last. There is only one legitimate third party this election and that is the Libertarian party. Unlike elections gone by with unknown and or unlikely candidates, Gary Johnson has come out of the box strong and gaining strength daily Think about it. the reform party is slated to appear on only 4 state ballots, not all 50 states like the Libertarian party. How can we expect to go head to head with the dems and gop without being on the ballot? We can’t. That’s why Gary Johnson is the only logical choice.
